Common questions in Maen-y-groes
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Maen-y-groes?
Maen-y-groes is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, label stock pouches instead.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Who checks supplement labels in Ceredigion?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Ceredigion, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
