Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Nether Stowey
Any food supplement sold from Nether Stowey must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

FAQs for Nether Stowey
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Nether Stowey, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Nether Stowey?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Nether Stowey is usually the next working day after dispatch.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
