Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Newbie
Supplements sold from Newbie must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. In Dumfries and Galloway, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Dumfries and Galloway.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Newbie brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.
