Questions from Newhills brands
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with Newhills businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Newhills deliveries go out by tracked courier to AB21.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Newhills?
Newhills is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Newhills, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Newhills?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Newhills is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Printed pouches for Newhills brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Newhills
Products you sell from Newhills must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. In Aberdeen, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
