Newlands questions
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Newlands address, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Newlands?
Newlands is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Are the pouches recyclable?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Who enforces food labelling in County Durham?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for County Durham, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
