Supplement labelling rules for Podington
Any food supplement sold from Podington must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In Northamptonshire, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Podington brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Common questions in Podington
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Are the pouches recyclable?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Do I need to be based in Podington to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Podington orders go by tracked delivery to NN29.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Who enforces food labelling in Northamptonshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Northamptonshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
