Polmont questions
What’s the lead time for pouches to Polmont?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Polmont is usually the next working day after dispatch.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Do you only work with Polmont businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Polmont orders go out by tracked delivery to FK2.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Polmont?
Polmont is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Printed pouches for Polmont brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Polmont
Any food supplement sold from Polmont must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for Falkirk.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
