Ravenstone questions
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Ravenstone?
Ravenstone is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do I need to be based in Ravenstone to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Ravenstone deliveries go by tracked courier to LE67.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Ravenstone, showing our materials and finishes.
Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Ravenstone
Any food supplement sold from Ravenstone must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Leicestershire.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
