Questions from Riggend brands
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Riggend?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Riggend is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Riggend?
Riggend is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Printed pouches for Riggend brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Rules in Scotland
Label rules that apply in Riggend
Any food supplement sold from Riggend must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for North Lanarkshire.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
