Common questions in Salisbury
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Salisbury?
Salisbury is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do I need to be based in Salisbury to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Salisbury deliveries go by tracked courier to SP2.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Salisbury?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Salisbury is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Salisbury, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Printed pouches for Salisbury brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Label rules that apply in Salisbury
Supplements sold from Salisbury must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for Wiltshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
