Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Aberdeenshire, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Sauchen?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Sauchen is usually two working days after dispatch.
Do I need to be based in Sauchen to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Sauchen deliveries go out by tracked delivery to AB51.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Printed pouches for Sauchen brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Rules in Scotland
Supplement labelling rules for Sauchen
Any food supplement sold from Sauchen must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
