FAQs for Scourie
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do you only work with Scourie businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Scourie deliveries go by tracked courier to IV27.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Who checks supplement labels in Highland?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Highland, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Are the pouches recyclable?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Printed pouches for Scourie brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in Scotland
Supplement labelling rules for Scourie
Products you sell from Scourie must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
