Scouthead questions
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Are the pouches recyclable?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Scouthead?
Scouthead is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Scouthead?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Scouthead is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Printed pouches for Scouthead brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Rules in England

Products you sell from Scouthead must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
