FAQs for Sessay
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Sessay?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Sessay is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Who enforces food labelling in North Yorkshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for North Yorkshire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Sessay businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Sessay deliveries go out by tracked delivery to YO7.
Printed pouches for Sessay brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Sessay
Any food supplement sold from Sessay must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
