Somerby questions
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do I need to be based in Somerby to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Somerby deliveries go by tracked courier to LE14.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Somerby, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Somerby
Any food supplement sold from Somerby must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Leicestershire.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
