Common questions in Southerness
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Southerness address, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Southerness?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Southerness is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Southerness
Any food supplement sold from Southerness must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. In Dumfries and Galloway, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
