Tarbolton questions
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Tarbolton?
Tarbolton is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Tarbolton?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Tarbolton is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Printed pouches for Tarbolton brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Tarbolton
Products you sell from Tarbolton must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
