FAQs for The Rigg
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
How long do printed pouches take to reach The Rigg?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to The Rigg is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Who checks supplement labels in East Ayrshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for East Ayrshire, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Printed pouches for The Rigg brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.
