Thornwood Common questions
Do you only work with Thornwood Common businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Thornwood Common deliveries go by tracked delivery to CM16.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Thornwood Common?
Thornwood Common is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Thornwood Common, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Printed pouches for Thornwood Common brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Thornwood Common
Products you sell from Thornwood Common must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
