Supplement labelling rules for Upper Lyde
Any food supplement sold from Upper Lyde must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Upper Lyde
Do I need to be based in Upper Lyde to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Upper Lyde orders go out by tracked courier to HR4.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Upper Lyde?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Upper Lyde is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Who checks supplement labels in Herefordshire?
