Waterditch questions
Who checks supplement labels in Dorset?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Dorset, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Waterditch?
Waterditch is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Waterditch, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Do you only work with Waterditch businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Waterditch orders go out by tracked delivery to BH23.
