Common questions in Welby
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Who enforces food labelling in Lincolnshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Lincolnshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Welby?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Welby is usually the next working day after dispatch.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Printed pouches for Welby brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Labelling law for supplements from Welby
Any food supplement sold from Welby must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. In Lincolnshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
