Common questions in Whitwell
Do you only work with Whitwell businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Whitwell orders go by tracked delivery to SG4.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Whitwell?
Whitwell is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Whitwell address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Printed pouches for Whitwell brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Whitwell
Supplements sold from Whitwell must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
