Printed pouches for Wigtown brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Wigtown
Any food supplement sold from Wigtown must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. In Dumfries and Galloway, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Wigtown brands
Do I need to be based in Wigtown to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Wigtown orders go by tracked delivery to DG8.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Wigtown?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Wigtown is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Wigtown, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
