Woollard questions
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do I need to be based in Woollard to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Woollard deliveries go by tracked courier to BS39.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Woollard address, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
Who enforces food labelling in Bath and North East Somerset?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Bath and North East Somerset, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Printed pouches for Woollard brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in England

Any food supplement sold from Woollard must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
