FAQs for Yarpole
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Yarpole?
Yarpole is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Who enforces food labelling in Herefordshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Herefordshire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Yarpole address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Printed pouches for Yarpole brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
