Collagen supplement labels
Premium labels for collagen powders and capsules, with claims that stay inside the rules.

What you can claim
Collagen itself has no authorised health claim. The claim most brands use belongs to vitamin C: “Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin”. To use it, the product must provide at least 12 mg of vitamin C per daily dose (15% of the NRV). Words like “anti-ageing” or “reverses wrinkles” aren’t allowed.
Marine collagen
Marine collagen comes from fish, which is one of the 14 allergens, so it must be emphasised in the ingredients list. Bovine collagen should say so for buyers who avoid beef.

Questions
Can I say “for skin, hair and nails”?
Only alongside authorised claims that cover each one, such as biotin for normal hair and skin, or zinc for normal nails.
Which finish works for collagen brands?
Soft-touch with a small foil logo is popular for beauty-led collagen. Keep foil away from the small print.
