Foil supplement labels
Gold, silver and coloured foil on logos and product names for ranges that need to look premium.

Use foil sparingly
Foil catches light, which is what makes it look premium and also what makes small text unreadable. Keep foil on the brand name and logo, and never on mandatory text.
Spot foil vs metallic stock
Spot foil adds metallic only where you want it. A full silver or gold film makes the whole label metallic, and white ink knocks back the areas that should be solid colour. Metallic stock is often cheaper for short runs.

Questions
Does foil affect recycling?
Small areas of foil don’t usually stop a label being processed, but a fully metallised film is harder to recycle than paper or plain PP.
Can I see a sample?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack with foil and soft-touch examples.
