Protein tub labels
Big labels for 300 g to 2 kg tubs that get scooped from with wet hands, thrown in kit bags and stacked in warehouses.

Why tub labels fail
Tub labels lift for three reasons: the wrong adhesive for a PP tub, a label that is too stiff for the curve, or applying it to a cold or dusty tub. We specify a conformable PP face with a high-tack adhesive, and recommend applying at room temperature and leaving filled tubs 24 hours before boxing. More in our post on why labels peel off tubs.
Protein powder labelling
A protein powder can be sold as a general food or as a food supplement. If it is a general food, it needs the standard nutrition declaration (energy, fat, saturates, carbohydrate, sugars, protein, salt). If you label it as a food supplement, the supplement statements apply instead. Whey is a milk allergen and must be emphasised in the ingredients. See our sports nutrition labels page for caffeine and creatine rules.
Scoop-side durability
Labels near the rim get rubbed every day. A laminate protects the print from powder abrasion and greasy fingers far better than varnish alone.

Questions
Can you print a label that goes all the way round a 2 kg tub?
Up to 330 mm wide. For bigger tubs we print a front and back pair, or a label that wraps most of the way with a gap at the back.
Do you print directly on tubs?
No, we print labels only. Labels let you change a formula or design without buying new pre-printed tubs.
