Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Bestwood St Albans
Any food supplement sold from Bestwood St Albans must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

What the check covers for Bestwood St Albans brands
Send your artwork or draft copy. We review it against the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, the food information rules and the GB nutrition and health claims register, and send back a written report with every point marked as fine, advised or must fix. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. If you need advice councils must respect, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step. We check labels designed and printed anywhere, including ones from other printers.
