Questions from Brentingby brands
What if my labels are already printed?
We’ll still check them. If we find problems, we’ll tell you which are urgent and which can wait for your next print run.
Do I need to be based in Brentingby to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Brentingby orders go by tracked courier to LE14.
Who enforces food labelling in Leicestershire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Leicestershire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What does the report look like?
A written, point-by-point report, with each item marked fine, advised or must fix, with suggested wording where needed.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
What the check covers for Brentingby brands
Send your artwork or draft copy. We review it against the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, the food information rules and the GB nutrition and health claims register, and send back a written report with every point marked as fine, advised or must fix. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. If you need advice councils must respect, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step. We check labels designed and printed anywhere, including ones from other printers.
