Supplement label checks for Ceri, Powys

A written review of your supplement label against the rules that apply in Wales, for companies in Ceri and across Powys.

What the check covers for Ceri brands

We read your label line by line: the supplement statements, the nutrient table and %NRV maths, ingredients and allergens, claims, text size and traceability. You get a written report you can act on or pass to your designer. We check labels designed and printed anywhere, not just our own. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. For assured advice, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step.

Ceri questions

Do you send samples?

Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Ceri, showing our materials and finishes.

How long does a check take?

We confirm the turnaround when you send your label.

What do I get back?

A written, point-by-point report, with every point marked fine, advised or must fix, with suggested wording where needed.

Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?

We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.

Can you check a label that’s already printed?

We can still check them. If we find problems, we’ll tell you which are urgent and which can wait for your next print run.

Rules in Wales

Supplement labelling rules for Ceri

Supplements sold from Ceri must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.

Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.

A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
