Supplement labelling rules for Clap Hill
Products you sell from Clap Hill must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

What the check covers for Clap Hill brands
We read your label line by line: the supplement statements, the nutrient table and %NRV maths, ingredients and allergens, claims, text size and traceability. You get a written report you can act on or pass to your designer. The check covers any label, whoever designed or printed it, not just our own. This is a practical check rather than legal advice. If you need advice councils must respect, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step.
