Supplement label checks for Clydach, Monmouthshire
Check your supplement label before Trading Standards, a retailer or Amazon does. Reviews for Clydach brands, done online.

What the check covers for Clydach brands
Send your artwork or draft copy. We review it against the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, the food information rules and the GB nutrition and health claims register, and send back a written report with every point marked as fine, advised or must fix. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. For assured advice, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step. The check covers any label, whoever designed or printed it, not just our own.

Rules in Wales
Labelling law for supplements from Clydach
Products you sell from Clydach must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Clydach questions
What if my labels are already printed?
We’ll still check them. If we find problems, we’ll tell you which are urgent and which can wait for your next print run.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Clydach?
Clydach is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Clydach address, showing our materials and finishes.
What does the report look like?
A written, point-by-point report, with each item marked fine, advised or must fix, plus suggested wording.
