Rules in Wales
Label rules that apply in Kemeys Commander
Supplements sold from Kemeys Commander must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. In Monmouthshire, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

What the check covers for Kemeys Commander brands
Send your artwork or draft copy. We review it against the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, the food information rules and the GB nutrition and health claims register, and send back a written report with every point marked as fine, advised or must fix. We check labels designed and printed anywhere, including ones from other printers. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. If you need advice councils must respect, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step.

Questions from Kemeys Commander brands
Do you only work with Kemeys Commander businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Kemeys Commander orders go by tracked courier to NP15.
How quickly do you review a label?
We confirm the turnaround when you send your label, and urgent checks can often be done quickly.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Kemeys Commander address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Can you check a label that’s already printed?
We can still check them. If we find problems, we’ll tell you what must change now and what can wait for the next run.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
