Label rules that apply in Ledbury
Any food supplement sold from Ledbury must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. In Herefordshire, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

What the check covers for Ledbury brands
We read your label line by line: the supplement statements, the nutrient table and %NRV maths, ingredients and allergens, claims, text size and traceability. You get a written report you can act on or pass to your designer. This is a practical check rather than legal advice. If you need advice councils must respect, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step. The check covers any label, whoever designed or printed it, including ones from other printers.

Questions from Ledbury brands
Do I need to be based in Ledbury to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Ledbury deliveries go out by tracked courier to HR8.
What do I get back?
A written, point-by-point report, with every point marked fine, advised or must fix, with suggested wording where needed.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Ledbury address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
How long does a check take?
We confirm the turnaround when you send your label.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
