Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Bessingby
Supplements sold from Bessingby must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. In East Riding of Yorkshire, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

How design works for Bessingby businesses
Send us your formula, pack size and any brand assets. We design the back panel to the rules first, then the front to sell, and send concepts for you to choose from. Every design includes a compliance check and print-ready files with the correct dieline, whether you print with us or elsewhere. Bring your existing logo and colours, or we can create them from scratch.

Common questions in Bessingby
Do I need to visit a designer near Bessingby?
No. Most clients never meet us in person: briefs, concepts and changes are handled by video call and email.
Can you redesign an existing label?
Yes. Send us what you have and we’ll tidy the back panel, fix the nutrient table and prepare print-ready files.
Can you design a whole range?
Yes. A range design gives you a system: colour-coded products, a shared back-panel layout and templates for new SKUs.
Can you design labels I’ll print somewhere else?
Yes. The final files are yours, set up for print with bleed and a dieline.
Do I need to be based in Bessingby to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Bessingby orders go by tracked courier to YO16.
