Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Entwistle
Any food supplement sold from Entwistle must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

How design works for Entwistle businesses
Send us your formula, pack size and any brand assets. We design the back panel to the rules first, then the front to sell, and send concepts for you to choose from. You can bring your own logo and colours, or we can create them from scratch, from a single label to a full range. Every design includes a compliance check and print-ready files with the correct dieline.
Entwistle is about 4 miles south-east of Darwen, in Bolton. Brands in Entwistle send us their artwork online, and labels go out by tracked delivery to BL7 and nearby postcodes. FAQs for Entwistle
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Entwistle?
Entwistle is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do I own the design files?
Yes. The final files are yours, set up for print with bleed and a dieline.
Do I need to meet a designer in Entwistle?
Not at all. Most clients never meet us in person: briefs, concepts and changes all happen by video call and email.
Do I need to be based in Entwistle to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Entwistle deliveries go out by tracked courier to BL7.
Can you design a whole range?
Yes. We build a system: colour coding by benefit, a shared back-panel layout and templates for new SKUs.
