Entwistle questions
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Entwistle?
Entwistle is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Entwistle?
Printed pouches take longer than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Entwistle is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Do you only work with Entwistle businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Entwistle orders go out by tracked courier to BL7.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Printed pouches for Entwistle brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Entwistle
Supplements sold from Entwistle must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. In Bolton, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Bolton.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
