How design works for West Pentire businesses
Send us your formula, pack size and any brand assets. We design the back panel to the rules first, then the front to sell, and send concepts for you to choose from. Supplement labelling rules for West Pentire
Any food supplement sold from West Pentire must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

West Pentire questions
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in West Pentire, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
Do I need to be based in West Pentire to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. West Pentire deliveries go by tracked courier to TR8.
Who enforces food labelling in Cornwall?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cornwall, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Can you design a whole range?
Yes. A range design gives you a system: colour coding by benefit, a shared back-panel layout and templates for new SKUs.
