Common questions in Aldreth
How long do printed pouches take to reach Aldreth?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Aldreth is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Who checks supplement labels in Cambridgeshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Cambridgeshire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Aldreth businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Aldreth deliveries go out by tracked delivery to CB6.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Aldreth address, showing our materials and finishes.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Printed pouches for Aldreth brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Aldreth
Products you sell from Aldreth must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In Cambridgeshire, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for Cambridgeshire.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
