Questions from Ashley brands
Who enforces food labelling in Shropshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Shropshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Ashley businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Ashley orders go by tracked delivery to TF9.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Ashley?
Ashley is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Ashley address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Printed pouches for Ashley brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.
