Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Fairoak
Any food supplement sold from Fairoak must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. In Staffordshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Fairoak brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Fairoak questions
Do I need to be based in Fairoak to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Fairoak orders go by tracked courier to ST21.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Fairoak address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the spec before putting a recycling claim on the pack.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
