Rules in Scotland
Labelling law for supplements from Canonbie
Any food supplement sold from Canonbie must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. In Dumfries and Galloway, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Canonbie brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.
