Rules in Wales
Labelling law for supplements from Coopers
Products you sell from Coopers must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. In Carmarthenshire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Carmarthenshire.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Coopers brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Questions from Coopers brands
Are the pouches recyclable?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Do I need to be based in Coopers to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Coopers orders go by tracked delivery to SA18.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
