Common questions in Nupdown
Who enforces food labelling in South Gloucestershire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for South Gloucestershire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Nupdown, showing our materials and finishes.
Do you only work with Nupdown businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Nupdown orders go by tracked courier to BS35.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Printed pouches for Nupdown brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.
