FAQs for Old Rayne
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Old Rayne address, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with Old Rayne businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Old Rayne orders go by tracked courier to AB52.
Who enforces food labelling in Aberdeenshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Aberdeenshire, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
Printed pouches for Old Rayne brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Start with labels on stock pouches and switch later. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in Scotland
Supplement labelling rules for Old Rayne
Products you sell from Old Rayne must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
