Rules in Scotland
Supplement labelling rules for Oyne
Products you sell from Oyne must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Oyne brands
Do you only work with Oyne businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Oyne orders go by tracked courier to AB52.
How many pouches do I need to order?
Minimums depend on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, label stock pouches instead.
Are the pouches recyclable?
Mono-material pouches are available, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Oyne, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
