Common questions in Shobdon
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Shobdon?
Shobdon is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How many pouches do I need to order?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For small quantities, label stock pouches instead.
Who enforces food labelling in Herefordshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Herefordshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Shobdon businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Shobdon orders go by tracked delivery to HR6.
Can I add a zip or window to the pouch?
You can choose: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Printed pouches for Shobdon brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.
