Supplement labelling rules for South Mimms
Any food supplement sold from South Mimms must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Hertfordshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

What the check covers for South Mimms brands
Send your artwork or draft copy. We review it against the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, the food information rules and the GB nutrition and health claims register, and send back a written report with every point marked as fine, advised or must fix. We check labels designed and printed anywhere, including ones from other printers. This is a practical check rather than legal advice. For assured advice, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step.

No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. South Mimms deliveries go out by tracked delivery to EN6.
Can you check a label that’s already printed?
We can still check them. If we find problems, we’ll tell you which are urgent and which can wait for your next print run.
What do I get back?
